Protection You Can See.
And Feel. And Keep.

Professional ceramic coating for luxury and
performance vehicles at Executive Details,Sandton.

A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically to your vehicle's clear coat, forming a semi-permanent layer of protection that cannot be washed off or wiped away. The result is a surface that is harder, more hydrophobic, more resistant to chemical contamination and UV damage, and significantly easier to maintain than bare paint. At Executive Details, every ceramic coating application is preceded by thorough paint decontamination and, where required, a full paint correction. You do not seal acompromised finish. That is not how we work.

The Science Behind the Shine

Ceramic coatings are widely misunderstood. They are not a replacement for paint protection film and they will not prevent stone chips or deep scratches. What they do exceptionally well is everything else.

Chemical Bonding

Unlike wax or sealant which sit on top of the paint, a ceramic coating bonds at the molecular level to your clear coat. It becomes part of the surface rather than a layer on top of it.

Hydrophobic Surface

Water beads and rolls off carrying dirt, brake dust, and road grime with it. Your car stays cleaner between washes and washing it takes a fraction of the time and effort.

UV and Oxidation Protection

Johannesburg's intense UV exposure is one of the most damaging factors for automotive paint. A ceramic coating creates a barrier against UV rays that would otherwise cause fading, oxidation, and paint chalking over time.

Chemical and Contaminant Resistance

Bird droppings, bug acids, industrial fallout, tree sap, and road salt are all highly acidic and damaging to bare clear coat. A properly applied coating resists these contaminants and prevents etching.

Enhanced Gloss and Depth

A professional ceramic coating amplifies your vehicle's finish. The coating adds genuine depth and clarity that wax and sealant simply cannot match.

The Coating is Only as Good as the Preparation

This is where most ceramic coating jobs go wrong. Sealing contaminated or defective paint underneath a coating locks those imperfections in permanently. At Executive Details, every coating application begins with a multi-stage preparation process that we will not compromise on.

  • Step 1: Full Decontamination Wash

Every trace of road grime, wax, sealant, iron contamination, and industrial fallout is removed using a staged wash, iron decontamination spray, and clay bartreatment.

  • Step 2: Paint Assessment

Under controlled lighting we inspect every panel for swirl marks, scratches, water spots, and oxidation. We will advise you honestly on what we find and recommend paintcorrection if required before the coating is applied.

  • Step 3: Paint Correction (Where Required)

If your paint has existing defects, our technicians use professional machine polishing to restore it to the standard required for coating. We do not apply ceramic coating over compromised paint.

  • Step 4: Surface Preparation

A final wipe-down with a panel wipe solution removes any polish residue and ensures a perfectly clean, oil-free surface that the coating can bond to properly.

Let Us Be Honest With You

A ceramic coating is one of the best investments you can make for your vehicle's long-term finish. But it isimportant that you understand what it does and what it does not do.

What it IS: A permanent chemical bond to your clear coat. Long-term UV, chemical, and contaminant protection. A dramatically easier maintenance routine. Significantly enhanced gloss and depth. A surface that actively repels water, dirt, and road grime.

What it IS NOT: A replacement for paint protection film. Physical impact protection against stone chips or deep scratches. A maintenance-free solution. A guarantee against water spots in hardwater areas. Something that can be applied over uncorrected or contaminated paint and still perform properly.

Investment

Ceramic coating pricing at Executive Details is confirmed following a paint assessment specific to your vehicle. Pricing depends on the condition of the paint, the size of the vehicle, and the coating product selected. Contact us to arrange an assessment and receive a personalised quote.

Note: Pricing to be added once confirmed by client. Update with starting-from price as soon as available.

Protecting Your Investment Long-Term

A properly applied and maintained ceramic coating will last several years. The longevity depends on the product applied, the conditions the vehicle is exposed to, and how the vehicle is maintained. We will advise you on the correct aftercare process when we return your vehicle.
Key maintenance points:
• Hand wash only using pH-neutral shampoo. No automatic car washes.
• Do not allow bird droppings, bug splatter, or tree sap to sit on the surface. Remove promptly.
• Use a ceramic-safe detailer spray between washes to maintain the hydrophobic properties.
• Annual inspection and maintenance top-up recommended to maintain coating performance.

FAQ

How long does ceramic coating last?

Depending on the product applied and how the vehicle is maintained, a professionally applied ceramic coating typically lasts two to five years. Annual maintenance top-ups significantly extend its performance and longevity.

Do I need paint correction before ceramic coating?

We will assess this at the vehicle inspection. If your paint has existing swirl marks, scratches, or oxidation, paint correction is strongly recommended before coating. Applying a ceramic coating over defective paint seals those defects in permanently.

Can ceramic coating be applied over PPF?

Yes, and it is an excellent combination. The ceramic coating enhances the hydrophobic properties ofthe PPF and makes the surface even easier to maintain.

Will ceramic coating prevent stone chips?

No. Ceramic coating is not designed to absorb physical impacts. For stone chip protection, paint protection film (PPF) is the appropriate solution. Many clients choose both.

How long does the application take?

A full ceramic coating application including preparation typically takes two to three days. This allows for thorough preparation, application, and adequate curing time before we return the vehicle.

Can I wash my car immediately after?

We recommend avoiding washing for at least seven days after application to allow the coating to fully cure and bond. We will give you specific aftercare instructions when we return your vehicle.

Do you offer ceramic coating on top of existing PPF?

Yes. If you already have XPEL PPF installed, we can apply a ceramic coating over it to enhance the finish and make maintenance easier.
